LAHORE: The government has expressed on Friday its readiness to engage in talks with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) , regardless of whether the party approach for negotiations after two or ten days.

Expressing his thoughts while talking to media, Adviser to Prime Minister Rana Sanaullah said: “If PTI contacts us for talks, the government will be prepared.”

He stated, “However, the resolution will not come from where they opponents seek it. Any solution will have to come through us.”

The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) stalwart said: “The founder of PTI cannot be minus from politics.”

He added, “If the opposition [PTI] has not learned from the events of May 9 and November 26, it should come and see the situation on August 8.”
