Govt refuted Imran khan’s claim solitary confinement.

ISLAMABAD: The federal government has denied the claim that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf founder Imran Khan is being kept in solitary confinement.

The federal government has submitted documentary evidence of facilities being provided to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan in Adiala jail, rebutting the former prime minister’s claims that he was being kept in solitary confinement.

“They (jail authorities) do not let me meet my legal team. I am being kept in solitary confinement here. I neither have any material nor a library to prepare for the case,” Khan had informed Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa during a hearing of the NAB law amendments.

To set the record straight, the government said that during the hearing on May 30, Khan, who had joined the hearing via video link claimed that “his legal team was being denied access to him and that he was being kept in solitary confinement”.

In a comprehensive submission to the Supreme Court, the federal government denied allegations that Imran Khan’s legal team was denied access to him. To support their stance, the government provided a detailed list of meetings between the PTI founder, his family, and his legal team. These documents aim to refute Khan’s assertion of being in solitary confinement without access to his lawyers.
