LAHORE : Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has said that the government is taking serious and sincere measures to stabilize the national economy.
The Prime Minister said that the government gave top priority to the solution of problems faced by the entrepreneurs and all possible steps will be taken to facilitate the business community.
He said that Operation Zarb-e-Azb was underway successfully for eradication of terrorism. He urged the business community to pay due attention on production and quality for enhancing the country exports.
The Prime Minister said that the government was making all-out efforts for elimination of load shedding and resolving the energy shortage and many power projects are underway.
During the meeting, the CPEC projects and measures for the rehabilitation of national economy also came under discussion.
Nawaz expressed the hope that after the completion of the energy projects, the business activities will augment and industries will flourish.
The prime minister said the CPEC is a game changer, which would change the fate of the region.
The traders while apprising the Prime Minister about the problems and issued faced by them urged the government to carry out tax reforms in the country. They also called upon the Prime Minister to cut the tax rates and end double taxation.
They also demanded of the Prime Minister for slashing power and gas tariff. The prime minister assured them of resolving the problems and issued raised during the meeting.
