Govt to request IMF for two billion dollars for climate financing

Islamabad: The government has decided to request the International Monetary Fund (IMF) once again for climate financing.

Federal Minister for Finance Muhammad Aurangzeb, has left for America to take part in the IMF meeting, will request the IMF for two billion dollar climate financing.

Muhammad Aurangzeb will call on Managing Director (MD) of the IMF wherein he will request the climate financing.

According to the finance division after final talks with the MD IMF it is likely that Pakistan can get two billion dollar as a climate financing.

In his visit to the USA, the Finance Minister will review initial review reports regarding implementation of of targets after the loan program.

Whereas the Finance Minister, Secretary Finance and officials of the State Bank of Pakistan will attend yearly meetings of the IMF.
