MAKKAH: Sheikh Ibrahim Al Madani, a muezzin at Islam’s holiest mosque, the Grand Mosque in Makkah, passed away in the early hours of Monday.
Sheikh Ibrahim Al Madani delivered his final Fajr adhan at the Grand Mosque on Monday morning, hours before his death.
Footage shared by Inside the Haramain showed Sheikh Ibrahim reciting the call to prayer during the early hours of Monday.
The funeral prayer for the late muezzin is scheduled to be offered after Asr prayers at the Grand Mosque on Monday. He will subsequently be buried at Al Mualla Cemetery in Makkah.
He was Born in Madinah in 1976, Sheikh Ibrahim Al Madani was raised in a religious family. His grandfather, who was a memoriser of the Holy Quran, had a strong influence on his early life and religious upbringing.
He later obtained an academic qualification in Qur’anic Studies and went on to serve as a muezzin at the Grand Mosque in Makkah.
