ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s agriculture sector is witnessing uplift due to modern agricultural reforms under Green Pakistan Initiative.
According to Business Manager at Green Impex Private Limited Muhammad Abu Bakar, fifteen hundred acres of barren land have been made cultivable using modern techniques, and crops like Rhodes Grass and Alfalfa are being grown.
He said twenty percent of these crops meet the needs of local dairy farms, while eighty to ninety percent are exported.
Muhammad Abu Bakar said by effectively using central pivot irrigation, forty percent of water is being saved, enabling the irrigation of one hundred and fifty acres of land daily.
