WEB DESK: Yutong has successfully delivered 400 battery electric buses to Pakistan, marking the largest single procurement of new energy buses in the country’s history.
The company’s diverse range of vehicles, including the E12PRO and E9 models, have now started entering service across 19 cities within Punjab Province, progressively enhancing public transportation in the region.
This delivery aligns with Pakistan’s ambitious goal to transition 30% of its vehicles to electric by 2030, contributing significantly to the nation’s sustainable mobility objectives.
To ensure optimal operation in Pakistan’s natural climate, the buses have been specifically customized to meet local conditions. Each vehicle features a Nitrogen Protection System for its traction batteries, designed to withstand the country’s hot and arid summers while minimizing the risk of cell fire.
Additionally, Yutong has organized over 80 service training sessions this year alone, empowering more than 1,000 participants with advanced skills in both bus driving and maintenance to support seamless operations.
