Gruesome Aban murder in FB area KHI: Police to carry out geo-fencing of child house to crime spot

Karachi: The Police have recorded statements of more than 10 people in the gruesome murder of innocent child Aban in Federal B area of Karachi.

As the investigations underway for the horrifying murder of the child, it is said that no one saw the child outside his house.

The police will also inlcude more people in the investigation while the police have gotten records of suspected calls.

The police also decided to carry out geo-fencing from the child house to the crime spot.

The police on Thursday, a day after the gruesome murder of a minor boy, formally launched an investigation to ascertain the possible motive and identity of the killer(s).

Yusuf Plaza SHO Shahid Rao said they had registered a murder case on the complaint of the victim’s father Mazhar Awais against unidentified suspects.

He said that the father told the police that they did not have any enmity with anyone.

The SHO said that doctors told the investigators that they did not find any apparent signs of a criminal assault.

He said the boy was found in a critical condition in a deserted street not usually used by the general public behind the Karachi Institute of Heart Diseases in F.B Area, Block-16, on Wednesday afternoon.

The victim’s father told the police that he had been living in a rented house in Block-16 for the last three months. He worked in a pharma firm.

On Wednesday at around 3:30 pm, he received a phone call from his wife, who informed him that their son had gone missing as he had not reached home yet. He said he rushed to the spot and started searching for his son in the neighbourhood. In the meantime, his relative sent him the picture of a child’s body on his cell phone, asking him to identify as to whether he was Aban. Subsequently, he rushed to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where he found the body of his son lying in the mortuary of the health facility.
