Karachi: Gusty winds in Karachi today have claimed two lives and six others injured which included two women.
Owing to thunderstorm wall of a house collapsed in North Nazimabad area of Karachi and person died and one injured. On the other hand a electric pole fell to the ground due to gusty winds and more than one people injured in the incident.
Three more people were injured in other incident owing to dust storm in the metropolis.
Earlier, dust storms and winds are blowing in Karachi today.
South-Westerly winds are blowing with the speeddc of 45 kilometer per hour while the meterological department the winds will continue to blow in the city untill tomorrow.
According to the Meteorological Department, thunderstorms can move in the city at a speed of 63 kmph adding that a series of westerly winds exists in Upper Sindh. Owing to the series of westerly winds air pressure increased towards Karachi and Makran.
At the moment westerly winds having speed of 30 to 50 nautical per hours are blowing and thunderstorm gripped some areas with 35 to 65 nautical per hour.
Temperature of the city will also decrease in these conditions.
