Islamabad: The Jamat-e-Islami Ameer Hafiz Naeem Ur Rehman at start of 3rd day of sit-in said that we should be provided relief in the electricity bills at all cost.
Holding a presser in Liaqat Bagh Rawalpindi at the stage of the sit-in, Hafiz Naeem Ur Rehman said that no one has a wish to sit on the roads leaving their houses and family.
Hafiz Naeem Ur Rehman said that it is up to the government the protest will end here or we will go to the D-Chowk.
The JI ameer said that when the country’s parliament and institutions are not working then holding a protest is our constitutional right.
He said that in the there is no way in the existing situation except holding a peaceful political struggle.
He said that the electricity bills are not our problem but it is problem of the whole country.
He said that we must needed relaxation in the electricity bills at all cost while questioned Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif how a person can run his house in the minimum wage of Rs 37000.
Hafiz Naeem Ur Rehman alleged that feudals and investors are taking decisions in the country.
He said that the poor people of the country have only way to become part of the JI protest.
He also appealed to students, lawyers, businessman and industrialists to become part of the JI movement.
The JI ameer said that the nation has been hid the agreements with the International Power Producers (IPPs).
He revealed that the IPPs capacity charges even have crossed the defense budget.
He said that the sit-in and talks with the government will go together adding that we will make the people of the country as a guarantor.
