Over 170 prisoners breakout from a jail in Arcahaie city of Haiti after overpowering guards yesterday.
One guard and one prisoner were killed while many others were injured during the massive breakout during which escaping inmates stole weapons and exchanged gunfire with the police.
The police asked residents of the coastal town to follow instructions as the efforts to arrest the escaped prisoners in on.
The American embassy has advised all the US citizens to avoid the area.
