GAZA: Hamas has fully rejected the resolution passed by the United Nations Security Council concerning Gaza and the proposed deployment of an international force under the resolution. The group stated that the resolution does not address the political and humanitarian demands and rights of the Palestinian people.
In a statement issued by Hamas, it was emphasized that the resolution imposes international oversight over Gaza, which the Palestinian people and resistance factions do not accept. Hamas argued that giving the international force the authority to carry out operations within Gaza, especially disarming resistance groups, would mean that the force would not remain impartial but instead would side with the occupying Israeli regime.
The statement clarified that if an international force is established, it should only be deployed at the borders, monitor a ceasefire, and operate entirely under the supervision of the United Nations. Hamas reiterated that they consider all resistance against Israel legitimate, with such rights protected under international laws and agreements, and they reject any calls to disarm.
Hamas appealed to the international community and the Security Council to adopt decisions that end the brutal war on Gaza, facilitate reconstruction, put an end to Israeli occupation, and help the Palestinian people achieve independence and establish an independent state with Jerusalem as its capital, ensuring justice for the Palestinian people.
