QATAR: Qatar Mediates Palestinian Resistance Group Hamas and US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff Agreed on Gaza Ceasefire Draft
According to Arab media, the proposed agreement includes a 60-day ceasefire in exchange for the release of 10 Israeli hostages, along with the release of Palestinian prisoners in two phases. Under the deal, 5 hostages will be released on the first day of the ceasefire, and the remaining 5 on the 60th day. US President Trump is expected to guarantee the ceasefire agreement and the withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza.
The proposed agreement also includes the unconditional provision of humanitarian aid from the first day of the ceasefire. Arab media reports that US envoy Steve Witkoff has sent the ceasefire draft to Israel for approval.
Meanwhile, foreign news agencies report that Israel has rejected the new ceasefire proposals. Israeli officials stated that no responsible government can accept such proposals, and Hamas is not interested in a ceasefire. It is noteworthy that on March 18, Israel violated the Gaza ceasefire and resumed bombing Gaza.
