Studies have shown that consuming a Mediterranean diet can help prevent dementia such as Alzheimer, this diet consists of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, nuts, fish, olive oil, etc. (red meat consumed very little) and has been shown to be the best for preventing various diseases such as heart disease, diabetes and obesity goes.
In this study from the University of Barcelona in Spain, 840 people were included and their dietary habits were examined, the health of these individuals was monitored for more than 12 years, the results showed that a diet high in fruits, vegetables, nuts and olive oil helps keep the brain young.He further said that these people were tested 5 times over a period of 12 years and finally it was discovered that the consumption of Mediterranean diet can reduce the risk of developing dementia with the age.
