Occupied Al-Quds: The health ministry in Gaza said early Sunday that more than 8,000 had been martyred in the Palestinian territory since the start of the war with Israel on October 7.
“The death toll linked to the Israeli aggression is past 8,000, half of whom are children,” the ministry said. The last toll, issued early Saturday, was of 7,703 dead.
Telephone and internet communications are returning gradually to the Gaza Strip, several Palestinian media outlets said early on Sunday.
Israel employed a near-complete telecommunication cut-off during the evening hours of Friday, disconnecting any form of communication in Gaza from the outside world.
