KARACHI: The Accountability Court on Saturday adjourned hearing of Rs462 billion corruption reference against former federal minister Dr Asim Hussain till January 6, 2017.
The Accountability Court heard the Rs462 billion corruption reference against Dr Asim and others. Dr Asim could not be produced before the court due to ailment. His counsels produced medical certificate in the court.
According to the certificates, Dr Asim was admitted in National Institute for Cardio Vascular Diseases on December 19 due to pain in the chest, where his necessary tests were conducted.
The court adjourned further hearing of the case till January 6, 2016.
On the other hand, former president and PPP Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari is expected to visit Dr Asim at the hospital to inquire after his health.
Zardari had returned yesterday after ending his 18-month long self-imposed exile in Dubai.
