Heat and humidity will remain continue today in Karachi

KARACHI: According to the Meteorological Department, the weather is expected to remain extremely hot and humid across Karachi and the entire Sindh province today.

The maximum temperature in the city is forecasted to reach between 35 to 37°C, with humidity levels around 79%, which may make the temperature feel even higher.

Other parts of the country are also likely to experience hot weather; however, some areas may see gusty winds and thunderstorms with showers.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, Balochistan, and other regions are expected to remain mostly dry and hot, though places like Murree, Galyat, and surrounding areas may experience light rain with thunderstorms.

Islamabad and its surroundings are also predicted to have hot and dry weather. Most districts of Balochistan are expected to have high temperatures as well. In Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, gusty winds and thunderstorms with rain are forecasted, bringing some relief to the weather conditions.

The Meteorological Department has advised residents to take precautionary measures in view of the intense heat and humid conditions and to avoid unnecessary travel.
