KARACHI: A woman legislator belonging of Pakistan Muslim League-Functional (PML-F) and Minister for Works exchanged heated arguments during Sindh Assembly’s session on Friday.
Speaker Sindh Assembly expunged the indecent comment of Works Minister Imdad Pitafi during the exchange of heated arguments between the two.
Sindh Assembly session was held here with Deputy Speaker Shehla Raza in the chair. During the session a heated argument took place between MPAs Nusrat Seher Abbasi and Imdad Pitafi.
The argument started after Pakistan Muslim League-Functional (PML-F) Nusrat Seher Abbasi mocked the language skills of Pakistan People’s Party Pitafi. She insisted Pitafi to read an answer out — that was written in English — during a question and answer session. While responding to her, Pitafi used indecent comment about Nusrat Seher, which angered the opposition.
Pitafi also called the PML-F female legislator a ‘drama queen’.
When the debate took ugly turn, Deputy Speaker Shehla Raza intervened and expunged the remarks of Pitafi from the house proceeding. She also warned Pitafi to be cautious while choosing his words during debate in the house in future.
