Heatwave forecasted across the country from today until Tuesday.

WEB DESK: Most parts of the country are expected to experience a heatwave from today until May 20.

According to the Meteorological Department, temperature in southern Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan, upper Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan are likely to be 5 to 7 degrees Celsius higher.

The rising temperatures in upper regions may accelerate the melting of glaciers.

On the other side, weather is expected to remain hot and humid over the next 24 hours in Karachi.

The Meteorological Department forecasts that the maximum temperature in the city may reach between 34 to 36 degrees Celsius.

The minimum temperature recorded in Karachi was 28.5 degrees Celsius.

The Meteorological Department also states that sea breezes are blowing at a speed of 12 kilometers per hour, with humidity levels at 82%.
