Karachi: Intermittent heavy to light downpours continued to lash in Karachi while accidents after the rains claimed three lives.
Rains water accumulated on the most of the roads in the city.
The already broken roads turned more deteriorated while there is a prediction of 200 mm rains in the coming three days.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department on start of the week apprised that the port city is likely to receive heavy rains from August 27 (Tuesday).
Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfaraz informed the provincial government that the new rain system is expected to enter Sindhi on August 27 and will continue till August 31.
Another monsoon spell is likely to reach Sindh in the first week of September, which will affect parts of the province, including Karachi.
