High security measures in SC on account of hiring new judges

ISLAMABAD: Security has been tightened outside the Supreme Court in protest of lawyers’, against the appointment of new judges in the Supreme Court.

According to details, Judicial Commission meeting will be held today for the appointment of new judges in the Supreme Court.

Extraordinary security arrangements have been made on the announcement of lawyers’ protest, lawyers from the Islamabad High Court and District Bars will protest against the 26th constitutional amendment.

Jinnah underpass were closed, only Margalla Road is open to go to the Supreme Court, which led to a long queue of vehicles on Margalla Road.

Traffic police have provided traffic plans for alternated routines.

Metrobus service has also been restricted due to protests.
