Islamabad: The fifth wave of global pandemic coronavirus has speed up all around the country as 23 people died of the disease in the last 24 hours while as many as 7, 678 cases reported in the same period which is the most reported cases in a day so far.
According to National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), as many as 59,343 tests were conducted for diagnosis of the disease out of which 7.678 tested positive for the virus.
A record number of cases reported in capital Islamabad as positivity rate has jumped to 18.91. As per the District Health Officer (DHO) 1,187 cases reported in Islamabad
During the 24 hours 23 people succumbed to coronavirus after which total number of cases reached 29, 065. A total of 961 patients are in critical condition in 631 hospitals around the country.
As many as 814 people also recovered from the disease, however, number of recovered cases are less in comparison to positive cases .
On the other hand vaccination process all around the country is also going as 100. 2975 million people are inoculated with a single dose while 78. 860 million people vaccinated double dose so far.
