ICC Champions Trophy is all set to begin today in Pakistan, with hosts Pakistan facing off against New Zealand in the tournament’s opening match at the iconic Karachi National Stadium.
In a special gesture, President Asif Ali Zardari will be gracing the occasion as the special guest for the inaugural match, adding to the excitement and prestige of the event.
The stage is set for a thrilling encounter, with both teams looking to make a strong start to their Champions Trophy campaign. The toss is scheduled to take place at 1:30 PM, with the match commencing at 2:00 PM.

TRAFFIC PLAN RELEASED FOR ICC CHAMPIONS TROPHY
Traffic plan for the matches of the Champions Trophy to be played at Karachi’s National Stadium today, February 21st, and March 1st has been released.
To facilitate spectators attending the matches, Shahrah-e-Sultan Muhammad Suleman Road will be accessible to traffic. Meanwhile, fans can park their vehicles at the designated areas, including the National Coaching Center and China Ground, before heading to the stadium.
Coaching centers and China Ground can be reached from under the flyover coming from the Karsaz side. Heavy traffic can go from Sohrab Goth to NIPA, from Liaquatabad No. 10 to Hassan Square, while heavy traffic coming from Peoples Chowrangi can go to University Road.
The road from Karsaz to the stadium, covering Millennium and New Town, and the stadium signal to Hassan Square will be closed to heavy traffic.
DIG Traffic has appealed to fans not to park cars and motorcycles on the road or service road. Cricket fans should park their vehicles only in the designated parking areas.
It should be notable, Champions Trophy is being played in Pakistan after a gap of 29 years.
