Hot, dry weather expected in most parts of country

Karachi (May 08, 2017): Pakistan Meteorological Department forecast said hot and dry weather is expected to prevail in most parts of the country during next 24 hours.  

According to the today’s forecast, very hot weather is expected in upper Sindh and south and central Punjab on Monday.

The advisory of the department issued here said that light rains with thunderstorms is expected at isolated places in Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Kohat, Rawalpindi divisions, FATA, Islamabad, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, a few places in Gujranwala, Sargodha, and Bannu divisions.

It added that during last 24 hours, weather in most parts of the country remained hot and dry.

However, isolated places in Malakand, Hazara, Kohat, Rawalpindi, Sargodha divisions, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan received light rains.

It said that weather in Karachi will remain dry, adding that the cooling sea breeze will keep the weather pleasant. It added that maximum temperature in the port city will remain 35 to 37 degree centigrade.
