Islamabad: Zaka Asharaf has said that he will try to bring improvement in the Pakistan Cricket Board after being made Chairman adding that Pakistan should host the whole of Asia Cup while the hybrid model is exploitation of Pakistan.
Talking to media along with Federal Minister Inter-Provincial Coordination Ahsan Mazari in Islamabad , Zaka Ashraf said that the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has given the hosting of the Asia Cup and Pakistan should host the whole of Asia Cup.
Pointing fingers at the hybrid model in the Asia cup, he said that under the hybrid model matches of Nepal will be held in Pakistan and remaining important matches will be held outside Pakistan.
Former PCB chief said that there was a project to build a cricket stadium in Islamabad which could not be materialized.
He said “Cricket unites the nation adding that there will be no unconstitutional move to be adopted.”
We have a lot of challenges to face which includes preparation of team for world cup, he said.
Zaka Ashraf sharing future vision said that with the cooperation of the media we will take such measures which will be better for cricket and the country.
He expressed thank to Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Zardari and Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif for trusting him for chairmanship of the PCB.
