Lahore: Governor Punjab Umar Sarfaraz Cheema has written a letter to advocate general in the light of the report of secretary of the assembly.
During a presser, the Governor Punjab said that Prime Minister has no discretionary powers for the removal of the governor.
He said that until President Dr Arif Alvi not de-notify him then he will continue on the post.
Talking about the ruckus in the Punjab Assembly yesterday, Umar Sarfaraz Cheema said that he has called a report from Advocate General Punjab and Speaker Assembly.
He said that he can’t administer oath until receiving opinion from the report.
On the other hand, the preparations of an oath taking ceremony are continued in the governor house. According to the PML-N leaders the oath taking ceremony will be held today at all cost.
