Karachi: An Intelligence agency and Special Investigation Unit (SIU) in their joint operation caught four alleged operatives of India’s intelligence agency, RAW from Quaidabad area of Karachi on a tip off while explosives, arms and amunition and ohter important evidences recovered from their possession.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) SIU Shoaib Memon holding a presser apprised that explosvies, arms and amunition, four hand grenades, Indian Cigerrates and liquor also recovered from the arrested RAW agents.
The SSP informed that the culprits had gotten geo technical locations of the sensitive locations in form of pictures, videos and geo tagging provided to the RAW directly through a software.
The accused are belonged to Sujawal, Sindh who have passed the border several times illegally.
SSP Shoaib apprised further one of the accused Muhammad Khan Bareu came in contact with the RAW back in 2009, got training used to of providing important military information to Border Security Force (BSF) of India while he has visited India for more than 20 times.
He added the accused passed on sensitive information of military installations to the enemy.
Sometimes they also crossed the border meeting the BSF officers which had lasted for more than two and half hours.While in return they got heavy sum of cash, liquour, cloths, precious gifts, he added.
He informed that digital content also recovered from their mobile phones which will be sent to forensic.
According to details, the suspects were detained following a tip-off about presence of the outlaws in the region.
The security forces have moved the arrested ‘RAW agents’ to an undisclosed location for interrogation.While the police will get remand for further interrogation.
