Dubai: The International Cricket Council (ICC) technical committee has approved name of Imam Ul Haq for replacement of injured Fakhar Zaman to play remaining matches of the Champions trophy.
Imam Ul Haq will be sent to Dubai from first available flight.
The PCB has contacted to the International Cricket Council (ICC) for taking permission to bring change in Fakhar Zaman place.
To which the ICC has allowed the PCB to bring Imam Ul Haq in the team squad as replacement for Fakhar Zaman.
Marred by poor performance in Champions trophy opener against New Zealand , Pakistan faced another set back as Fakhar Zaman out from the mega event owing to his injury yesterday, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said.
The PCB said that Fakhar Zaman has an injury of serious nature. His rib has pulled while he has been instructed to report the PCB academy.
His injury can’t be get over in a little while it will take some to heal, the PCB added.
He is not included in the team going to Dubai for high octane clash against India.
The team management has also started considering names for openers replacing Fakhar Zaman.
