Karachi/Lahore/ Rawalpindi: A possible schedule of International Cricket Council (ICC) Champions Trophy has surfaced under which the high octane match between India and Pakistan likely to be played on February 23 at a neutral venue.
Before start of the tournament a support period of six days have been placed. In the support period includes arrival of the teams and practice.
The support period will remain from Feb 12 to Feb 18.
Pakistan will play its first match in Karachi against Newzealand on February 19. Whereas first match in Lahore will likely to be played between Australia and England on February 22.
Pakistan clash with Bangladesh will likely to be held in Rawalpindi on February 27. On the other hand, Afghanistan will collide with England on February 26 in Lahore.
Likewise Afghanistan to face Australia on February 28 in Lahore.
According to the proposed schedule, one semi-final will be held in Lahore, while the other will take place at a neutral venue.
Similarly, the final is planned to be held in Lahore, but if India qualifies, the match will also be moved to a neutral venue to accommodate logistical and diplomatic sensitivities.
