WEB DESK: International Cricket Council (ICC) Imposed Fine on Pakistan Team for Slow Over Rate in Second ODI against New Zealand
Pakistan was penalized 5% of their match fee for falling one over short of the required time.
Pakistan’s captain, Mohammad Rizwan, has accepted the fine. The team had also been fined for a slow over rate in the first ODI.
It is noteworthy that yesterday, New Zealand defeated Pakistan by 84 runs in the second match of the three-match series, taking a significant lead in the series.
In the match played at Sedon Park in Hamilton, New Zealand scored 292 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in their allotted 50 overs. In response, Pakistan managed only 208 runs before being all out. Fahim Ashraf scored 73 runs and Naseem Shah made 51 runs, standing out for Pakistan.
