ICC World Cup: Pakistani Players to Watch Out For Against Windies

NOTTINGHAM: Pakistan is all set to begin its World Cup campaign today against the mighty West Indies at Trent Bridge, Nottingham.

Three Pakistani players to watch out for against the Windies are:

Fakhar Zaman

Fakhar Zaman is a talented left-handed opening batsman of Pakistan, who scored a match-winning hundred against India in 2017 Champions Trophy final in England.

He made debut against South Africa during ICC Champions Trophy 2017 in Birmingham, England.

He played 36 ODIs and made 1642 runs with an average of 51.3. His highest individual score is 210* against Zimbabwe.

Imam-ul-Haq

Imam-ul-Haq is another example of talent as he made a glorious start to his international career.

A hundred against Sri Lanka on debut made him the second player from Pakistan to reach three figures in his first match.

He followed that up with a splendid outing in Zimbabwe, where he scored three centuries and became the first player in ODI history to score four hundreds in his first nine matches.

He played 28 ODIs and made 1387 runs with an average of 60.30. His highest individual score is 151 against England.

Babar Azam

Babar Azam is another talented middle-order batsman for Pakistan. Former Australian captain Michael Clarke termed Babar Azam as “Virat Kohli of Pakistan”.

He played 64 ODIs and scored 2739 runs with an average of 51.7. His individual highest score is 125* against West Indies in April 2017.
