Karachi: Hafiz Naeem Ur Rehman, Jamat-e-Islami (JI) President of Karachi on Tuesday said that his party will not spare the Election Commission of Pakistan if it becomes instrument of the provincial government.
Addressing a presser at the party headquarter Idara Nore Haq Karachi, Hafiz Naeem Ur Rehman lambasting on the Sindh government said that the Sindh was doing nothing for checking the prices of food commodities during the month of Ramzan.
The JI Ameer questioned “what the officers responsible for checking the prices are doing? ” adding that the city has the worst inflation.
He said that the JI has provided a relief to the people of Karachi by setting up bachat bazars ( markets establish to provide goods on cheap rates ) around the city.
Hafiz Naeem Ur Rehman said that the people of Karachi has given a massive mandate to his party in the local government polls while he confidently said that mayor will be from the JI.
An engineer by profession, the JI president said that if by-elections of local government polls are held on time then Jamat-e-Islami will win the elections as well.
Regarding census, JI President said ” you are doing exploitation of Karachi and Hyderabad by counting them less in numbers in the first ever digital census.”
He demanded to give access to data in census to stakeholders.
