If govt don’t take Karachi electricity issue seriously then there will chaos on streets: Dr Farooq Sattar

Karachi: The allied party of government, the Muttahida Qaumi Movement on Monday demanded the government to give a Rs 14 subsidy in the electricity charges for Sindh.

Addressing a presser in Karachi at its headquarter, a senior leader of the MQM-P Dr Farooq Sattar also demanded the government with draw recently announced the fuel adjustment charges on electricity.

Dr Farooq Sattar said that our level of patience has compromised while he warned that if the government don’t take the matter seriously then there will be chaos on the streets of Karachi.

The MQM-P stalwart demanded the government to provide the subsidy of Rs 14 on electricity to Sindh while he said that providing relief to Punjab only is a discriminatory act .

He said that if the province can’t able provide the relief then the federal government should give it.

Former mayor, minister also demanded to with draw the fuel adjustment charges adding that Karachi provided a highest number of tax on the other hand no relaxation is being given to Karachi.

He said that people of Sindh are also deserve for a relief adding that Karachi consumer is paying bills of Rs 60 to 64 per unit.

He said that the price of electricity has been increased to seventh sky and people are being forced to do street crimes and come to streets.
