Islamabad: Inspector General (IG) Islamabad police on Tuesday submitted progress report regarding the attack on the Sindh house in Supreme Court of Pakistan (SC) in the government petition seeking opinion of the top court on the interpretation of the article 63(A).
The larger bench headed by Chief Justice (CJ) Umar Atta Bandial heard the government petition seeking interpretation of the article 63(A) of the constitution and Supreme Court Bar Association petition to stop the government and the opposition parties to hold rallies which can result into clash.
As per the report, there is no prove of terrorism against the accused involved in the attack on the Sindh House while no arms recovered from the accused who took part in the attack on the Sindh house.
The IG Islamabad said that more action will be taken if a prove of terrorism found against the accused.
According to the progress report only one accused named Raye Tanveer could not be arrested yet while raids are being conducted for his arrest adding that all the accused got bail from a judicial magistrate.
The IG apprised that a request has been made to the judicial magistrate for ending bails of the accused.
The SC has called to submit a progress report of an attack on the Sindh house yesterday.
Advocate general Sindh has raised the matter of the attack on the Sindh house during the hearing of presidential reference and SCBA petition.
