IG Sindh Takes Notice of Khi Resident Car Used in Quetta Blast News

Karachi (June 23, 2017): Inspector General of Police Sindh AD Khwaja has taken notice of media reports that the vehicle use in Quetta blast was registered in Karachi.

It is to be mentioned here that suspected car blast in Quetta on Friday morning killed 11 people and injured over 12. Media reported that the vehicle which badly damaged in the blast was registered in Karachi.

The number of the vehicle was T-4377 and was owned by one Jamil-ur-Rehman, resident of Korangi 5 B area.

IG Sindh while talking notice of the reports directed Deputy Inspector General (DIG) West to submit details about the vehicle.

It is to be mentioned here that at least 11 people were killed and 12 other injured when a powerful blast went off near IG Office at Shuhada Chowk in Quetta.

As per details, a bomb went off at Shuhada Chowk in front of IG Office on Gulistan Road in the provincial metropolis.

The blast was so powerful the bang was heard far from the blast site. The blast damaged nearby buildings. Two vehicle were also damaged in the blast.

Security sources said that a vehicle was completely destroyed in the blast. As a body was also found inside the vehicle, they suspect it might be a suicide car blast.
