Islamabad: The Islamabad High Court on Tuesday adjourned the hearing of the Nawaz Sharif appeals against the Avenfield and Al Aziziya reference.

A divisional bench of the IHC headed by Chief Justice Amir Farooq of the IHC and Justice Mian Gul Hassan Aurangzeb heard the appeals.

The court has sought arguments in the case on November 27.

The CJ asked the defence counsel Azam Nazeer Tarrar how much time you needed in completing the arguments in the Avenfield reference.

Another counsel of Nawaz Sharif Amajad Pervez apprised the court that we needed four to six hours in the arguments of the Avenfield refernce.

Chief Justice Amir Farooq said that we have heard the Avenfield reference and remembered some facts regarding the case.

The CJ said that we will hear the arguments in the Avenfield reference first. Nawaz Sharif Counsel said that the arguments needed just six hours.

Justice Amir Farooq asked the NAB prosecutor how much time you needed for your point of view? The NAB prosecutor said that we needed just half an hour.

Justice Amir Farooq asked the prosecutor did it mean the NAB has nothing to say?

The CJ said that we start hearing arguments from November 27 at 12:30 pm while Nawaz Sharif counsel Azam Nazeer Tarrar insisted the court to hear the case on daily basis.

To which the CJ said that if needed we can hear the case on the daily basis and we will not take divisional cases owing to this case.
