Islamabad: Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Thursday asked the federal police about registration of an FIR on terrorism charges against senior journalist Mohsin Baig.
Wife of Mohsin Baig challenging the terrorism case against her husband in the IHC insisted that the case against her husband be disposed off.
The petition adopted the view that the police lodged a false and baseless case against her husband in Margalla Police station and insisted the court to order police to dispose off the case.
Chief Justice Athar Minallah of the IHC heard the case in chamber after which the court called the report till tomorrow from the SHO Margalla.
It is pertinent to mention here that a cases was registered under the terrorism charges against journalist Mohsin Baig over torturing the FIA personnel who had arrived to arrest him from his residence.
An anti-terrorism court has handed over Mohsin Baig to police on a three-day physical remand.
It is worth mentioning that the FIA had arrested Senior journalist from his residence yesterday following the application of Federal Minister for Communication Murad Saeed.
