Islamabad: Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Monday (today) issued notice to attorney general against the PECA amendment ordinance petition filed by Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Pakistan Federal Union Of Journalist (PFUJ).
The IHC Chief Justice Athar Minallah hearing the petition against the PECA amendment ordinance has sought a report from the FIA pending complaints under the section of 20 of the PECA ordinance.
Barister Aijaz Gillani appeared before the court representing as a counsel of the petitoner against the PECA ordinance Umar Imran Malik while he adopted the point of view that the court clarify scope of an article 89.
The court issued notices to attorney general on both the petitions. The CJ also mixed the all the petitions as one petition agains the PECA ordinance.
The court adjourned the hearing until March 10
