IHC Reject Imran’s appeals for suspension of toshakhana sentence.

Islamabad: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) declined the immediate suspension of the conviction handed to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan in the Toshakhana case.

Imran khan’s request to suspension the punishment in the Tosha Khana case was rejected. In the Tosha khana case, the division bench headed by the Chief Justice of the Islamabad High Court issued the decision.

 During the hearing in the IHC, lawyers Latif Khosa, Khawaja Haris, Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, Babar Awan and others appeared in the court on behalf of the PTI chairman.

Khosa told the court that a lawyer of their team was detained by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) for eight hours. Awan requested the court to issue an order that the lawyers should not be harassed.

 Two member bench led by the Chief Justice Aamir Farooq and justice Tariq Mahmood Jahangiri have issued a 9 page judgment in which PTI founder’s plea to suspend sentence in Tosha khana case has been rejected.
