Islamabad: Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Wednesday (today) rejected convicted criminals appeals against the punishment in the murder case of MQM leader Imran Farooq.
The IHC announced reserved verdict.
Before this the anti-terrorism court of Karachi had given life imprisonment to all accused Mohsin Ali, Moazam Ali and Khalid Shameem on June 18,2020.
After the atc verdict the accused had approached the IHC.
Khalid Shameem, Mohsin Ali and Moazzam Ali had also ben fined of Rs one million each which will have to be paid to wife of the decease as a compensation amount.
The MQM leader Dr. Imran Farooq had been killed near his house in London on September 16, 2010. He had been living in London since 1999.
