Islamabad: Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Monday rejected an appeal of Fawad Chaudhry against the Election Commission of Pakistan action.
Chief Justice of IHC Amir Farooq announced the reserved verdict. The IHC had reserved the verdict on July 22nd.
Fawad Chaudhry had challenged the action of the ECP for contempt of it. Fawad Chaudhry had a point of view that he has been facing trails on a same charges one in session court and other in the ECP adding that the action can’t be carried out on both the forums.
He said that action can be taken by a single forum on same charges. While he had insisted the IHC to order the ECP to stop taking action against him.
The court pronouncing reserved verdict rejected Fawad Chaudhry appeal.
The IHC had reserved the judgement on July 7 after Fawad Chaudry filed the appeal petition in the IHC on June 20.
