ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Faryal Talpur on Tuesday filed a petition in the Islamabad High Court (IHC) seeking to nullify a call-up notice issued to her by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in Fake Bank Accounts Case.
As per details, sister of the former president Asif Ali Zardari and PPP leader Faryal Talpur filed a petition in the IHC seeking to cancel a call-up notice issued to her by the NAB in connection to the ongoing probe in Fake Bank Accounts case.
Faryal’s counsel in his arguments said that NAB issues a call-up notice in a joint venture case which is out of the jurisdiction of the anti-graft watchdog.
To which, the IHC’s Justice Amir Farooq in his remarks said that you can submit this answer to the NAB as well what’s the matter in it? At which, Farooq H. Naek told the court that they were handed over an illegal and mala fide questionnaire when appeared before the court.
The court after hearing the arguments by the petitioner’s lawyer reserved its judgment.
