IHC Seeks Response Of Police Over Case Against Imran Khan On Terrorism Charges

Islamabad: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has asked a reply of the Islamabad police in a case lodged against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan on terrorism charges.

Chief Justice Athar Minallah of the IHC heard former premier Imran Khan petition to remove case against him on terrorism charges.

From behalf of the PTI chairman, barrister Salman Safdar and Naeem Hyder Panjotha advocate appeared before the court.

After hearing arguments of Imran Khan counsels, the CJ IHC has sought response of the Islamabad police while issuing notices to Inspector General Police (IG) and Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG).

The court also issuing notices to complainant of the case, magistrate and Station House Officer (SHO) prorogued the hearing till September 8.

The PTI chairman Imran Khan has insisted the court to dispose of the case against him on terrorism charges declaring the case against him as illegal in his petition.
