ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) will hold hearing of Nawaz Sharif’s plea seeking suspension of sentence in Al-Azizia reference on medical basis. The court has summoned latest medical report of the former prime minister admitted in Jinnah Hospital – Lahore.
In previous hearing, Nawaz’s counsel Khawaja Haris apprised the high court pertaining diseases suffered by the former premier and expressed concerns over provision of medical facilities.
Haris told court that facilities related to cardiac diseases were not available at the Jinnah Hospital while his health would be worsened if Nawaz Sharif was sent back to jail.
