ISLAMABAD: After the recent major cabinet reshuffle newly appointed Minister of Interior Brig (R) Ijaz Shah on Friday took charge of the ministry.
Ijaz Shah a retired military brigadier who hailed from Nankana Sahib reached R block of the PM house and took charge of his post.
The portfolio of Federal Minister of Interior was held by the PM himself.
Shah previously held a post of the Federal Minister of Parliamentary which has been assigned to Azam Khan Swati as part of recent major reshuffling.
Newly appointed Minister of Interior Ijaz Shah previously served on various key posts including his role as director Intelligence Bureau (IB) from 2004 to 2008 during president Musharraf’s regime.
