Islamabad: The Director Communications International Monetary Fund (IMF) Julie Kozack has apprised that the financial body has agreed on working with the new would be-government of Pakistan.
In her media briefing, the Director Communications International Monetary Fund (IMF) Julie Kozack said that in the caretaker government era the economic estability retained adding that the intrim government followed a strict monetary policy for increasing foreign reserves and controlling the inflation.
Julie Kozack apprised that on January 11 the IMF executive board approved a first review of stand by arrangement under which Pakistan has been released 1.9 billion dollars.
She said that the Pakistan is getting in its efforts of economic stability through the loan program.
The IMF director communication avoided commenting on the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) letter to the IMF adding that the writing of letter by the founding chairman of PTI is a political matter.
She said that the IMF does’nt give statements in the internal matters of Pakistani politics.
She expressed hope that the new elected government will work for prosperity of Pakistani people.
