IMF approves seven billion dollars package for Pakistan

Washington: The International Monetary Fund has approved seven billion dollars under the Extended Fund Facility program for Pakistan.

The decision was made during the IMF Executive Board meeting held in Washington.

The IMF has given green signal for the loan in the July this year. After months of tough conditions fulfilled by the government the world financial body has approved the loan today.

Federal Minister for Finance Muhammad Aurangzeb had expressed hope that the IMF board would give approval for news loan program.

On the other hand, talking to the media in New York, Prime Minister also expressed hope that Pakistan will get new loan program of worth 7 billions dollars from the IMF as its tough conditions have been fulfilled.

While the premier thanked Saudi Arabia, China and United Arab Emirates (UAE) over helpin g in negotiation with the IMF.

Talking to media in New York , the PM said that China like before helped us fully. While economic
