Islamabad: International Monetary Fund (IMF) has demanded for Pakistan to do more as it international lender demanded to increase revenue.
The IMF demanded that revenue target be extended to Rs 10,000 billion.On the other hand the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has opposed wide extension in revenue target.
Pakistan has appealed to the IMF to sign staff level agreement early while the IMF hinted to combine 9th and 10 review.
Federal Minister for Finance Ishaq Dar didn’t attend the virtual negotiation while the Minister of State for Finance Dr Ayesha Ghous Pasha was in attendance in the meeting.
