IMF schedule till September 4 doesn’t carry Pakistan loan program

Washington: The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has issued its schedule till September 4 which doesn’t carry Pakistan .

The Ministry of finance is being striving hard for getting a program of seven billion dollars.

On the other hand, Pakistan has requested Saudi Arabia to giving a loan of 1.20 billion dollars.

Pakistan’s finance ministry hopeful of approval of a loan program worth 7 billion dollars .

Sources said that the government is very much active to roll over a loan of 12 billion dollars from China, Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Whereas Pakistan has also requested from Saudi Arabia further loan of 1.2 billion dollars while the purpose of the loan is to fill two billion dollars financing gap.

Sources said that Pakistan already has to pay Saudi Arabia loan of five billion dollars while Pakistan has China’s four billion dollars and UAE three billion dollars of cash deposit.

The finance ministry officials apprised that Pakistan has also commercial loan of payable to different countries including China of 4.5 billion dollars.
