IMF To Review Its Loan Program For Pakistan In Next Meeting On July 3

ISLAMABAD: International Monetary Fund (IMF) will review its loan program of $6 billion to Pakistan in its next board meeting on July 3, AbbTakk news reported on Monday.

According to economic experts, the approval of the IMF program for Pakistan will increase the country’s reputation in the international market and will help us in taking loans from other bodies including the Asian Development Bank (ADB). ADB’s loan of $3.4 billion is more likely after reaching an agreement with the IMF.

The IMF has agreed to provide a loan of $900 million for the next financial year to Pakistan to spend on tax reforms while ADB has agreed to pay an amount of $3.4 for budgetary support.

The experts have also told that this approval help in stabilizing country’s economy and will also help to acquire bonds from the international markets.
